Project Description:
The goal was to create an unconventional recap video. I drew inspiration from Wes Anderson's films and tried to incorporate techniques characteristic of his distinct style.

To achieve this, I closely studied his movies to understand his use of music, editing, and camerawork. I then created a written storyboard with ideas that could realistically be executed within the tight shooting schedule.

The editing process was fast because the entire video had already been thought out in detail beforehand.
In several shots, I used compositing to combine footage filmed at different times into a single frame. For example: three men lifting tires were filmed at different moments; the men scaling the plank wall were filmed at different times and later merged into one scene; a participant running with logs was filmed in two different locations nearly a hundred meters apart to create the illusion of a much shorter distance.
